They left ongkong on 20th instant for Macao and stayed there for 3 days after which they returned to Centon via Shekki and Chungshan District.

Details of their visits to Longkong and Macao are as follows:-

The party left Canton by the Canton-Kowloon Railway train at 0735 hours on 12th November. The night was spent on the train in Shunchun, from where they changed train for the British section to Hongkong arriving there at 12 noon. The Journalists Mission started their work on 14th November when they made their first call on the British Ministry of Information in Hongkong. Later, they called on the longkong/Macao General Branch Hqrs. of the whinese Kuomintang, the nongkong Uffice of the Ministry of Propa- ganda of the Central Government, the Hongkong Branch Group of the Sam Min Chu Yee Youth Group, and the Hongkong Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The afternoon was spent resting.

The journalists continued their calls on cultural and educational circles in ongkong on the morning of 15th November. They paid their visit to the Sing Tao Yat Pao at 9 a.m. and were received by the Chief Editor, Mr. Fan Key Peng. Later, they visited the Commercial Press printing factories in North Point. The printing factories are in an utterly ruinous state as all the lining, type- setting, printing blocks, binding, etc., departments have been smashed by the Japanese and all the books, machinery and other tools have been destroyed. Although some of them have been preserved yet it will take a considerable time before the factory can resume business again. enemy's action of destroying culture to such an extent is greatly resented.
